pray...
for those of you who dont know...
a young adults mission team was sent out to afghanistan to help at a new hospital and the community.
while they were on their way, they were abducted all together by the taliban.
now there are high ransoms to be paid in exchange for their lives.
the pastor of the group has already been killed.
today...i saw a news report and one of the girls was allowed to speak on behalf of the group.
i dont think my heart has ached for a stranger so much.
i cant imagine what hardships they are going through together as a group.
my heart and prayers go out to them.
someone i was talking to about this said:
"the thing that makes the enemy so scary, is that they arent afraid to die for their faith."
the truth is...this young group of missionaries arent afraid to die either.
they arent giving up so easily and are fasting at this moment and praying fervently...
soooo...why shouldnt we?
they are supposed to be released by midnight to 1 AM our time but i want to encourage you to fast and pray with me anyway.
please join me and others in a fast that will last 3 days.
JULY 29TH-31TH
we will be skipping 1 or more meals for each day and spending time to pray for them.
also...please pray for the pastor's family that God will heal them and their hearts.
please also pray for the families of the missionaries that they will also pray and be encouragement to the missionaries.
and most of all for the taliban group.
God also said to pray for those who hate us.
none of us are better than the other in what we do.
pray...encourage...fast....
and fight the good fight.
